Reversa products are manufactured in Canada by Dermtek Pharmaceuticals Ltd., a company that established its scientific credentials by developing the widely acclaimed Ombrelle brand of sunscreen. Ombrelle was subsequently purchased by worldwide cosmetics giant L’Oréal.
Founded in 1986 by Robert and Nicole Lavoie, Dermtek was the first wholly owned Canadian company to apply emerging anti-aging technology toward the development of cosmeceuticals especially formulated to meet the needs of dermatologists and consumers alike.
Dermtek enjoys a sterling reputation for incorporating the latest in anti-aging technology into its skin care products. It was among the first, for example, to incorporate glycolic acid as the primary active ingredient in its line of skin care products. A skin-penetrating alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), glycolic acid has been scientifically proven to stimulate exfoliation and to promote skin cell regeneration. By increasing cell turnover, glycolic acid allows healthier cells to rise to the surface of the skin more quickly, giving it a healthier, more youthful appearance. And the recent introduction of the Time-Release Glyco-Comfort System™ in all Reversa anti-aging products, releases the skin rejuvenating formula over a longer period of time, reducing the risk of skin irritation while maintaining optimal exfoliating effectiveness.
The company also supports a number of social organizations, especially those that advance medical research or help improve the well-being of women across Canada.
Reversa is a proud supporter of the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation and sponsors a number of major events and fundraisers. Reversa is a proud supporter of the Sérénité program that helps women struck by illness.
Reversa is based in Dorval, Quebec.
